Fin Min: Russia’s 2020 inflation to depend on central bank policy

MOSCOW, Oct 16 (PRIME) – Russia’s 2020 inflation will greatly depend on the central bank policy, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told reporters on Wednesday.

“It will in many respects depend on the policies of the central bank, on what decision is made on the price of money, this is the responsibility of the central bank,” Siluanov said.

Economic Development Minister Maxim Oreshkin said at the end of September that inflation was falling faster than he expected in July. President Vladimir Putin said that one of the reasons of a faster inflation was central bank’s adjustments ahead of a delayed inflow 700 billion rubles to be invested in the national projects.
